Mathematics is one of the finest inventions of humankind. Through the use of abstraction and logic, mathematics developed from counting, calculation, measurement, and the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical objects. Practical mathematics has been a human activity from as far back as written records exist.
   However, there exists a false fear among students that Math is difficult and stressful due to past handling of the subject. The Dept. of Mathematics of our institution comprises of knowledgeable, resourceful, and experienced teachers who aim to teach Math in a simple yet intriguing manner while cultivating the student's interest and encouraging them to develop their cognitive abilities in ways best suited for practical application.
   The staff are members of the syllabus and examination committee of various institutions and thus, are thoroughly oriented with the framework of the subject for both exam point of view as well as for real life application. They are the seeds of inspiration for several alumni who have taken up the profession of teaching and are expanding the horizon of knowledge.
