The department of languages: Kannada, Hindi, Sanskrit and English was opened along with other departments in 1994. Since then the faculty members of this department are striving to enhance students learning and communication skills. Languages are offered for two years during the degree course.
   The department conducts motivational talks, special lectures, personality development programmes, quiz, essay and various other competitions to inculcate an overall development in the student. The department encourage and mentors students to participate in inter-collegiate literary competitions and events.
   The faculty members of the language department are friendly and considerate as well as task masters. With the implementation of NEP, we hope to create better opportunities in making students achive proficiency in their languages. Moto of the department is to implant humane values in the students more and strengthen their expertise in languages.
